- Primary Sources in U.S. History: Guides to Microforms (LexisNexis)
A searchable collection of guides to microform collections. Includes guides to many, but not all, of the collections owned by Rutgers, as well as additional collections that are not owned by Rutgers.
- Microfilm Publications Catalog (National Archives and Records Administration)
A searchable web database of NARA's numbered microfilm publications. Search IRIS or the Microforms in Alexander Library database to determine which films are owned by the Rutgers Libraries.
- All items alphabetical by Author/Title
A complete list of all materials which are currently included in the database. (Arranged alphabetically, generally by main entry; the main entry is often the title of the microform, but is sometimes the author or issuing agency.) Additional materials are being added on a continuing basis.
- Materials from and about specified time periods
- Government Publications
Federal, state, foreign and international government publications.
- New Jersey
Materials relating to specific localities, prominent people, and the state in general.

- Periodical collections
These are generally collections of periodicals, such as the "American Periodical Series", rather than individual periodicals such as "Time" or "Newsweek."
