06/01/2005  yes  I think the conference fostered a needed sense of community.  More information for those who are really new to Fedora and don't know its capabilities    yes    Involved with local arrangements  Name: Ruth Bogan

06/01/2005  yes  It was extremely useful, and high time for such a conference.  I hope that a means for sharing new developments (work flow suites, behaviors etc.) will have been established by the time of next years conference, and that presenters wishing to share such tools will have them immediately available folloowing presentations. A minor but useful conference habit is to have sessions available as .ics files that can be uploaded into calendars. This could include basic urls, etc.  Workflow / Ingestion Services

yes  I thought the conference room, facilities etc. were good. I appreciated the wireless access, and hope UVa follows suit. It might have been helpful to have a shuttle service between the hotel and the conference.  Fedora listserv.  Name: Andrew Rouner

06/01/2005  yes  Extremely useful, both from the perspective of overarching development efforts and learning about specific portions.  If the meeting will be kept to 100 to 150 people, try to keep the same format -- single track presenters with generous breaks inbetween. If not, some sort of concurrent tracking will be needed.  Workflow / Ingestion Services

06/01/2005  yes  What I found most usefull, was the chance to meet and talk with people who have actually implemented Fedora.  I would like more opportunities for interactive demonstrations, where participants can ask questions. I think the conference should focus more attention getting people who are not accustomed to Fedora, accustomed. One suggestion may be to have a demonstration lab, where peple can experiment with the Fedora software hands-on.  Workflow / Ingestion Services

06/01/2005  yes  Very engaging presentations. A lot of smart people doing a lot of interesting things.   If the conference gets any bigger with more speakers, you may have to consider concurrent sessions. The sessions were great, but Friday was getting to be a long day. Maybe have tracks with various topics like ingest/workflow, architecture, preservation, etc. Maybe reports from the working groups if progress is made there.   Preservation Services
