Linda Langschied is the Head of the Scholarly Communication Center
(SCC)
in Alexander Library, Rutgers University Libraries. The SCC operates as
technology-enriched learning and teaching facility, and serves as the
research and development locus for Rutgers University Library’s
strategic plan, the Digital Library Initiative. Her primary interest is
in developing technological and administrative structures to insure
continued accessibility of digital content over time and through
evolving technology
. She is currently PI for the “New Jersey Environmental Digital
Library,” (http://njedl.rutgers.edu/njdlib/),
supported by the New
Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, and for the “New Jersey
Digital Highway” project (http://www.njdigitalhighway.org/),
which is
funded by the Institute for Museum and Library Services.
