Single Mode | Split
Mode
- Single Mode:

The default set up is for the rooms to be split into separate
labs. If you combine the rooms into a single lab, please return
them to the split mode when you are done.

Single mode means the two rooms are configure so that they
can be used as a single room. The podium located in IHL 413
must be used to lead a class when using the two labs as a single
lab.

Open up the panels that divide the two labs.

Disconnect the data connection from the Tech Commander
box in IHL 415.

Go to the Tech Commander box in IHL 413 and make sure
that the light next to "Student to Instructor"
(S => I) is lit.

Locate "SET UP" on the LCD display. Press the
prompt button directly beneath "SET UP".

Press "5" on the keypad to access the "CSPLIT"
menu.
-
You want to use the rooms as a single labs, so press the
prompt button directly beneath "SINGLE" on the
LCD display.

Wait for the Tech Commander to poll the workstations. You
are now in "single" mode.
- Split Mode:
-
Split Mode is the default setting for the Information Handling
Labs. In Split Mode the labs are configured as two separate
labs. You will only need to follow these steps at the conclusion
of an event that uses the two labs as a single lab.

Make sure that the Tech Commander box in IHL 415 is still
unplugged, then follow steps 3, 4, and 5 from above.

You want to use the rooms as two separate labs, so press
the prompt button directly beneath "SPLIT" on
the LCD display.

Wait for the Tech Commander to poll the workstations.

Now go back into IHL 415 and plug in the Tech Commander
box. Wait for the Tech Commander to poll the workstations.
IHL 415 is now ready for use.
- Guide the panels back into place so that the two labs are
completely separated. You are now in "SPLIT" mode.
